Cement Saw
Zips easily through concrete to create that square cut needed for "wall-floor joint reglet detail"
which is necessary to do Xypex repair to stop water in basements, etc.
This saw is designed to cut a slab within 1" of the wall. Includes 4" diamond blade that will cut
1 1/2" deep. This cut would parallel the wall floor cold joint and allow that piece of concrete to
be peeled up using a rotor hammer with 1/2" chisel bit.
Saw comes complete with water injection to blade, fed off of a powerful submersible pump that can
be placed in a 5 gallon bucket. This cools the blade and eliminates dust. Complete with sturdy
carrying case.

The following items are samples of application equipment, displayed for informational purposes only, and
are not currently available for purchase from IMX Technologies.
Leather Gloves
Durable leather for use during heavy work; for example, when using power tools such as chipping and
packing hammers. We recommend a reinforced palm patch for extra wearability.
Rubber Gloves
Provide protection for hands and forearms during Xypex applications. They are chemical resistant and
have embossed palms for wet handling.
Rain Gear
Waterproof outerwear designed for construction. Provides high tear-strength and resistance to most
common chemicals, acids, grease and oils.
Sandblasting Protection Gear
Protective suit includes canvas jacket with tight-sealing waist adjustment to keep out grit and fine
particles. Heavy canvas pants protect legs from blast ricochet. Abrasion-resistant leather gloves
should be used. Hood has a protective face shield and a respirator to protect operator from abrasive
grit and dust inhalation.
Sandblaster (Pot and Hose)
Portable air-blast equipment used for cleaning, stripping and surface preparation. Some typical
features include: low profile design; automatic bag breaker for ease of filling vessel with grit;
moisture/oil separator to allow continuous blasting; on/off trigger for operator safety; large piping
to ensure ample air volume for high-speed blasting; cone-shaped bottom for better grit drainage;
flexible air line that prevents air leaks and maintains steady pressure; quick-snap coupling; air
pressure gauge for tank readings; capacity for various nozzle sizes; maximum 125 psi (860 kPa)
working pressure.
Chipping Hammer and Chisels
Heavy-duty tool for concrete chipping and routing. a 1 1/8 – 3 in. (28 – 75 mm) stroke is recommended
for most Xypex applications. We suggest a .580 in. (15 mm) hex-type bushing to prevent chisel rotation,
a teasing throttle for precision control, and a clip lock to prevent loosening of the handle/cylinder.
For satisfactory performance, 90 psi (620 kPa) of clean, dry air is required. A 3/8 in. (9.5 mm) I.D.
whip hose may be used at the air inlet, but longer runs should use at least a 1/2 in. (12.7 mm) hose
with minimum 7/16 in. (11 mm) I.D. couplings.
Waterblaster
For cleaning and preparing surfaces. Gas or electric powered. We suggest a minimum pressure of
2000 – 3000 psi (13.8 – 20.5 mPa). Some typical features include: axial drive triplex pump; integral
unloader with internal bypass; quick disconnect hydraulic hose couplers; trigger controlled shut-off
gun with safety lock; steel frame with mounting racks for hose; shut-off gun and nozzles; detachable
handle; 25 – 50 ft. (7.6 – 15.2 m) hose.
Scabblers/Scarifiers
For grinding, surface cleaning and the removal of paint or coatings. The drum should be equipped with
different types of cutters and the operator should be able to switch drums in under 2 – 3 minutes.
Some typical design features include hex-shaft system adjustable height handle, vacuum connection,
maneuverability, a vibration dampening system, a mechanism that allows easy control of the working width.
Crack Chaser (Floor Application)
Follows cracks in the concrete and uniformly opens them for remedial work. Very maneuverable, this unit
is used in preparatory work for many types of repairs without damage to the concrete mass. Various
diameters of tungsten carbide-tipped bits are available in addition to the standard 7/8 in. (22.2 mm) size.
Compressor
Suitable for above air tools as well as for spray equipment. We suggest minimum 125 cubic feet per minute
(3.5 m3/m) at 120 psi (827 kPa) capacity. Required accessories include water separator, automatic oiler,
and a 3/4 in. (20 mm) air hose with quick release connectors.
Mixing Pail
For most applications we recommend a 5 gal. (19 liter) metal or plastic pail. When mixing by mechanical
tool, a metal pail is usually preferable, since mixing blades can create scrapings from the sides of a
plastic pail and combine with mixture.
Electric Drill and Mixing Paddle
We suggest a 1/2 in. (12.5 mm) heavy-duty, reversible drill with a 450 rpm low speed capability. The
"mud mixer" paddle produces a smooth, lump-and-bubble-free Xypex mixture. The hex-shaped shaft has
vertical blades that mix and fold at the same time.
Semi-Stiff Concrete Brush
These Xypex designed brushes are available in 4 in. (10 cm) and 6 in. (15cm) sizes for vertical applications.
Bristles are made of chemically resistant PVC material and have flagged tips to retain the slurry material
during applications. A 10 in. (25 cm) long-handled broom is also available for horizontal surfaces.
Pattern Pistol (Gun and Hopper)
Simple, economical and efficient tool for spray-applying a Xypex coating. Attachments normally include a
1 1/2 gal. (5.7 liter) hopper spray-gun with variable orifice sizes. Connectable to any compressor with
minimum 30 psi (206 kPa) capacity and a 3/8 in. (9.5 mm) nozzle. Also available with a self-contained
compressor and electric motor, 50 ft. (15.2 m) air hose, and a 25 ft. (7.6 m) power cord on a 2 wheel dolly.
Hy-Flex Spray Pump
Heavy duty spray pump for large scale Xypex applications. Pump includes: 15 US gal. (57 liter) hopper;
24 in. (60 cm) pole spray gun with various tip sizes; 1 in. – 50 ft. (25 mm – 15 m) product material line;
3/8 in. – 54 ft. (9.5mm – 16.2m) air line; whips for both material and air lines; quick-couplers. Operates
with a 1 hp DC motor. Requires a compressor capable of producing 15 cfm (.42 m3/m) with 30 psi (206 kPa).
Quikspray Carrousel Pump
Heavy duty spray pump for large scale applications. Its unique design uses the peristaltic principle,
squeezing the material forward through the system. Attachments include: 1 1/4 I.D. (3.8 m) pole spray
gun; 1/4 in. – 50 ft. (6.35 mm – 15 m) material line; 1/2 ft. – 50 ft. (12.5 mm – 15 m) air line;
variable speed electric motor; 18 US gal. (68 liter) parabolic-shaped hopper. Requires a compressor
capable of producing 100 cfm (2.87 m3/m) with 25 – 30 psi (172 – 240 kPa).
Water Sprayer
Used to moisten concrete surface areas and to apply a curing agent (for example, Xypex Gamma Cure) to
the coating in lieu of water curing. Typical features include a galvanized steel tank, heavy duty pump
and hose, and an easy shut-off valve.
Packing Gun with Packer Head
This heavy duty tool is used to compress Dry-Pac into concrete cracks and joints. A 1 in. – 1 1/8 in.
(25 – 28 mm) stroke is recommended for most Xypex applications. We suggest a .580 in. (15 mm) hex-type
bushing to prevent packer-head rotation, a teasing throttle for precision control, and a clip lock to
prevent loosening of handle/cylinder. For satisfactory performance, 90 psi (620 kPa) of clean, dry air
is required at the tool. A 3/8 in. (9.5 mm) I.D. whip hose may be used at air inlet, but longer runs
should use at least a 1/2 in. (12.7 mm) hose with minimum 7/16 in. (11 mm) couplings. Packing heads are
specially designed from high-tempered steel hex chisel blanks. The packing head is attached to the shaft
by a key. The dimension of the packing base is typically 6 in. (150 mm) long, 3/4 in. (20 mm) wide and
3 in. (12.7 mm) deep.
Mechanical Spreader
Used to apply Xypex dry-shake products (for example, Xypex Concentrate DS1 and DS2). Some features
include: heavy duty construction, rustproof hopper, accurate mtetering capability and automatic shut-off.
Large, wide wheels for ground clearance help distribute spreader's weight evenly over a concrete slab
that has not fully hardened.
